Years later Goku returns for the next martial arts tournament, where he meets Picollo's reincarnation, Picollo Jr. After a grueling battle which destroys the whole world tournament arena, Goku manages to defeat Picollo but out of his kind heart doesnt kill him and instead lets go off and train, whilst Goku settles down and marries childhood sweetheart Chi Chi.
Years later we meet Goku again, this time with his son, named after his granfather Gohan. A mysterious alien Raditz appears and informs evryone that Goku is actrually from an alien race called the Saiyans and that Goku was sent to Earth to destroy it, but forgot due to a knock on the head. arrive. After training and a battle that
results in the death of his friends, Goku defeats Nappa and goes on to fight future rival Vegeta. After using the transformation Kio-ken, Goku along with Krillin and Gohan defeat Vegeta and let him go. A few months later Goku confronts the evil planet pirate Frieza who destroyed his home planet. After Frieza kills Krillin and Vegeta, Goku goes into a rage that allows him to transform into the form, known as the Super Saiyan. After a tough battle Goku defeats Frieza and does not return to Earth for a while. When he returns he is made to recover from a heart desease whilst an evil android named Cell wrecks havok over the Earth. When Goku goes to confront him, he backs down, allowing his son Gohan to fight and defeat Cell as Goku risks his life in an explosion. Years later Goku returns to Earth to confront a Majin created by the evil Babadi named Buu. Whilst fighting Buu, Goku shows both Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 forms. Buu splits apart into good and evil forms and the Evil Buu ends up absorbing the good Buu resulting in in a Super Buu. Goku, needing to become more powerful than before has to fuse with rival vegeta to create a being known as Veggitto. After Buu changes into his ultimate form, Goku changes into his Super Saiyan 3 form and with help from Vegeta defeats the
